The Garden... continued

I wrote a blog on my garden update, and then hit a key (I can't remember which one) then it was GONE! So instead of writing it again, here is a short synopsis.

Sunflowers can get REALLY tall!

It may not have been as fruitful as desired, but it was fruitful spiritually. It taught me more about myself then I would have ever imagined.

I understand the scriptures so much more when the Lord talks about "fruit of the trees", and the vineyards, etc.

I discovered that my dog is REALLY good at knowing when cantaloup will be ripe. He would get to them before I could. He would then either hide them somewhere in the backyard, or eat them.... this was not a good experience for him after though...

So the summer garden has come to an end. The squash beetles basically ended everything early. But the new one is about to begin again.

Yea! It's Fall Equinox!!!!

Oh how the garden grows...

My garden has really grown these past few weeks. It's been exciting to watch. This morning, I noticed bees around the summer squash! I was happy to see them doing their job, and choosing my garden to do it :) I can't wait for the harvest season... although I am already starting to think about what my Fall garden will be. There are some great benefits living in Arizona.

Here are the watermelon plants just trying to take over the area. The trellis' will be going up by the weekend :) This will be fun!

Here is the newest edition to my garden. I planted some winter squash, which has grown really fast. There is 4 different varieties planted here. Behind it I am growing Amaranth.
