Day 12 - The Shadow

Today was more of a 'new experience' for me. I had 2 people job shadow me throughout the day. I have never really had that before, for that long of a time. Mondays are my busiest days when it comes to holding groups at work. I would have these thoughts throughout the day that all my sessions would not go well, and that it would just be a "bad" therapy day. I realized though that this was just 'stinkin thinkin' and that it wouldn't be true. I thought it was funny though, how I would go into the group with an idea of what we would do, and than realize immediately that the "plan" was not going to work. So I would have to improvise during the entire session. Luckily my instincts were correct and the new plan I came up with worked out well. One thing I realized though, was how nice it was to have people help you out throughout the day. The time went by a lot faster, and made the slower times a lot more enjoyable.
